“Poet, Prophet, Priest: Living the Call”
A Hymn Festival Honoring the Life and Ministry of Paul Manz, led by David Cherwien, Dr. Paul Westermeyer, and The Augustana Choir. The Hymn Festival is part of the Lankford Arts Series: The Art of Faith.
Join us for worship at 11 a.m. in the McKennan Park band shell with Larry Olson and friends providing worship music. School children may bring their backpacks for a special blessing. (Blessing of the backpacks will also take place at the 8 and 9:30 services at FLC.)
Invite your friends and neighbors, bring a lawn chair and join us for worship. In case of rain, worship will be held at First Lutheran.
The Evangelism and Outreach Board will provide lunch. Participants may bring a dessert to share.
Festival of Light • the Epiphany of Our Lord
Saturday, Jan. 6 • 6 p.m.; Meal at 4:30 p.m.
Join the Sioux Falls community as we trace the Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany story with brass, timpani, flute, organ, choirs, and tableau. We celebrate the Epiphany of Our Lord and conclude with the visit of the magi to the Christ-child.
Prior to the Festival, a meal of chicken and wild-rice soup, chili, macaroni and cheese and bread will be served in Reformation Hall. Cost $5.
Sunday, Dec. 10 • 6 p.m. The Sioux Falls community is invited to join in singing carols of the Advent season with festival choirs, orchestra, handbells, and organ as we anticipate the arrival of our Lord.
