LaMoyne Pederson, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Augustana University and long-time member of the FLC congregation, will offer comments and lead discussion on controversial issues.
Each year the First Lutheran Church Women (FLCW) host the fall Bazaar to raise funds for local, regional, and global missions. In 2017 a total of $49,700 in bazaar proceeds was given to 42 programs, ministries, or agencies.
New Fall Classes for 2018
Wednesday night adult forums and 7th grade confirmands learn together.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Den, Pastor Jeff will spend the first 15 minutes (6:30-6:45) setting the stage for each session in the with the adults while all 7th grade confirmation students attend an opening worship in the sanctuary. Then, from 6:45 to 7:15, the adults will be joined by our 7th grade confirmands, as Pastor Jeff shares the main teaching points for the evening. Finally, from 7:15 to 7:30, the confirmands will break into small group discussion with their Shepherds, and adults will step across the hall into the Friendship Room for 15-30 minutes of small group discussion, facilitated by Pastor Jeff and/or Pastor John.
