The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile comes to First Luthearn Church once a year. Children and young adults up to age 21 can receive dental care at no cost if they have not seen a dentist for two years and are unable to afford dental care. Following the biblical example of Mary and Elizabeth (see Luke 1:39-56), we visit and share the sacredness of life. The purpose of this ministry is to affirm, support, encourage and assist women in response to their needs during the childbearing years. Faithfully Fit Forever is chair exercise for men and women of all ages. A devotional and health tip help is part of Faithfully Fit. Its a great way to take care of your body physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Facillitated by Howard Bich. The chair exercise class does not meet during the summer months.
| A program for those with limited income who cannot afford foot care. Glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure screening is also offered. This clinic is available to members of First Lutheran and the community. SIGH meets at Falls Community Health (521 N Main) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Healthy Feet Community Foot Care Clinic will be held each month on the fourth Tuesday from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., in the Parish Meeting Room. Sanford foot care nurses will screen, assess, treat and educate participants. The cost is $25. Appointments are necessary. Call (605) 336-3734 to schedule.
The Blood Mobile comes to First Lutheran the first Sunday of April and October. Howard Bich is the coordinator. Appointment times can be set up or drop-ins are welcome.
Registered nurses are available to take blood pressure in the library the first Sunday of the month from 9-11:15 a.m. The parish nurse also does blood pressure checks in the parish nurse office during office hours on Wednesday and Thursday. Call to set up an appointment or stop in.
