First Lutheran Media Ministries reaches out in Christ’s love by offering the weekly worship services through television and radio.

Those who tune in to the Media Ministries broadcasts include those who are unable to leave their homes, unchurched, prison inmates and others who may otherwise be unable to join in a worship experience. You can help support Media Ministries!

Join the volunteer team

A vital part of Media Ministries is our team of dedicated volunteers such as camera operators, announcers, timekeepers and audio technicians.

Training will be provided. Volunteer for as many stations as you would like to train for! Click here to volunteer.

Camera operator—use a joystick to set up camera shots according to the director’s instructions. May use wide or close up shots, zoom in or out or pan the action (such as a choir singing).
Serves at the 9:45 a.m. worship service.

Announcer—read from a prepared script for the radio and television broadcasts.
Serves the 8:15 and 9:45 a.m. worship services.

Timekeeper—keep track of the starting time of liturgy elements in the bulletin.
Serves at the 9:45 a.m. worship service.

Control room audio board—controls the audio levels of various microphones during the radio and television broadcasts in the control room.
Serves the 8:15 and 9:45 a.m. worship services.

Sanctuary Soundboard—controls the audio levels of various microphones within the sanctuary.
Serves at all services.

Sponsor a Media Ministries broadcast

Honor or remember a loved one by sponsoring a broadcast. Your gifts make First Lutheran's broadcasts possible! Donations of any amount are welcome, although the following sponsorship opportunities will grant the donor the opportunity to be listed in the bulletin, the First Word and have the sponsorship announced in worship and on the broadcasts.

• Closed Captioning ($140) is the newest opportunity to support Media Ministries. Closed Captioning is the process of displaying text on the television screen which benefits those who are deaf or hard of hearing and those whose native language is not English. Offering Closed Captioning for television broadcasts is required by law.

• Television sponsorships (sponsor the full broadcast for $1,300, or a partial for $675) provide for the broadcast of the service on KSFY.

• Radio sponsorships ($115) provide for the live broadcast on KELO-FM.
