Confirmation (grades five through nine)

"One step in a lifelong journey of faith."

6th-8th grade youth attend confirmation on Wednesday nights throughout the school year. This time gives the youth a chance to learn about what it means to be a Lutheran and to dig deeper into their faith with the Bible, large and small group times, and a time of closing worship. During the second half of the 6th grade year, youth are in PULSE--a time of interactive learning. There are also confirmation classes on Sunday evenings of 9th grade, with the youth affirming their baptism in the 10th grade year. Confirmation Ministry
5th Grade - First Communion, 4 weeks during Lent
6th Grade - Ten Commandments, 8 weeks followed by PULSE (an interactive, relationship building ministry)
7th & 8th Grade - Session One (current): Apostle’s Creed/Lord’s Prayer.
Session Two: Bible Stories
9th Grade - What It Means to be a Lutheran?
Affirmation of Baptism is held the first Sunday in November.
