Congregational Education and Acts of Service

Communities Facing Addiction teams from across Sioux Falls met together in February 2017 with our partners at Face It TOGETHER Sioux Falls. Since the kickoff on September 25, 2016, Face It TOGETHER coaches have supported at least ten individuals referred by our participating churches. Face It TOGETHER has also seen a dramatic increase in “Loved Ones” coming to them for coaching services. With the help of a Recovery Coach, Loved Ones can learn how to better care for their own health, compassionately set boundaries, and communicate better with those who are suffering from drug or alcohol addiction.

To that end, we have determined that supporting Loved Ones will be the next focus of our Communities Facing Addiction efforts. Each Facing Addiction team is currently studying a book on this subject, and at the end of April our teams will reconvene to discuss what we can do to support Loved Ones across Sioux Falls.
